Been running the 185.18.14 drivers for several days now – things are working fine. Check the release notes, lots of improvements this time around!
I even slipped back into a game or three of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (under a smurf name, natch!). Nice performance.

NVIDIA just keeps updates rolling out. I had been running 185.13, but 185.19 is out now. This is still a beta release series, but I had good luck with the .13, so I hope things stay well.

Updated to the 180.29 drivers yesterday, seem to be working just fine. Lately, I haven’t been using Compiz, so I can’t say if there is any difference from the 180.22 drivers. There is a nice list of bug fixes in that link, so check it out!

I have 3 monitors and 2 video cards, and for a long time I thought it was simply not possible to have all three in one large desktop with compositing. Yes, I could have one large desktop, or I get have multiple X screens with compositing on them, but the “holy grail” was unreachable. I just thought we would have to wait for XRandR 1.3 and the corresponding NVIDIA driver support.
Until I saw this.

Announcement here.
Installed them and ran into the same problems as 180.06: decent performance for the first hour or two, then sound glitches, slow window response, and so on.
Rolled back to 177.80 again.
